Getting your roof cleaned in Scotland can seem like a confusing process for some customers, we regularly advise customers on the process available to them in respect of any cleaning or painted roof coatings that have been used previously on the roof. A regular tiled roof if un-painted can be restored to its original colour and condition with our softwash process using Algo Clear Pro and hand scraping with our extension poles working from a scaffolding or roof ladder with full harness and restraints, We do not rely on gravity to keep us on the roof like some companies do.

Once the roof has been hand scraped to remove the moss from the tiles they are saturated in Algo Clear Pro. The cleaning agent will soak in to the cavitys within the tile where it will kill the infestations that are living on the surfaces mould, lichen, moss, mildew from the tiles surface with the rain that follows the treatment. The process can take several months to completely clean the roof.

Once our cleaning agent Algo Clear Pro has been applied it will clean the roof of all infestations of organic matter from the tile surfaces, This product will still be active within the tiles and will continue to works for several months after the treatment has been applied.
