We received an email from this client regarding his K-Render that has become discoloured over the years with Red algae, Green Algae , Black Mould and a few other species of contaminants on the renders surface.

Now these contaminants are not only an eye sore to the property but they can and do damage to  the render causing fails in the render, cracks to appear sections falling off  from the ingress of water through the root system that’s living there , these contaminants are treatable with the correct softwash cleaning agents being applied at low pressure , this is an approved by K-Rend cleaning method. Our approved products will NOT invalidate your K-Rend manufacturers warranty.

This K-Rend we treated with a few products from algoclear.com/ Products range to achieve these results the same day we arrived after a 120 mile trip from Bathgate through some of the most scenic countryside i have seen on the way to Stranraer The early morning sun on the A77 coast road can be quite picturesque.

Now on arrival we noticed that this house not only has a view of the sea loch  Loch Ryan .But is surrounded by rolling hills and mountains behind. BEAUTIFUL but it does play its part in the organics organisms  forming on the render as the scottish winds and sideways rain cuts its way through the valley picking up these organic organisms and depositing them on the render surface where the will start to grow, we only notice once they are established and their protective cover is shown , the red colour is the top layer of the algae once this is established it needs to be treated with proper approved cleaning agents and approved low pressure equipment.
